I Stand With You

Sometimes whispers from the edge feels more like I’m screaming into the void. This protest anthem channels themes of solidarity, resistance, and shared humanity. Written in support of marginalized voices, it’s both a personal pledge and a rallying cry, inviting listeners to stand together, loud and unafraid.

Verse
I’ve seen the hatred aimed at you
Heard them shout all things untrue
I’ve watched you stand against the tide
While my ears burned with your silent cries
I hear the thunder drawing near
A fight for freedom loud and clear

Pre-chorus
It’s hard to believe this struggle goes on
There was a brief moment, I thought you had won
I won’t stand by while they rage at your door
I will fight by your side as I did before
Freedom for me isn’t freedom until
You can also live by your own free will

Chorus
I stand with you one thought in mind
Freedom for all with none left behind
Say their names and expose the lies
Fly rainbow flags across the skies
We’re all one race, the human one
Our story’s not ended, it’s just begun

Verse
I stood with you so many times
Felt each defeat like it was mine
I’ve watched you fight to stake your claim
For rights I never had to gain
I had my rights, never thought twice
While you bled to pay the price

Chorus
I stand with you one thought in mind
Freedom for all with none left behind
Say their names and expose the lies
Fly rainbow flags across the skies
We’re all one race, the human one
Our story’s not ended, it’s just begun

Bridge
I ran through doors that opened wide
No stares, no laws, no need to hide
Your color policed, your love denied
While privilege was mine but justice lied
I never feared or kissed in shame
I never felt my skin was blamed
Bathrooms, ballots, borderlines
Weren’t rigged to keep my place defined

Outro
Until your rights align with mine
Until your voice is heard
Until your fight is over
I will fight with you
